Montana Faith
Health Demonstration Project, Bozeman, MT.
Develop, coordinate and present
capacity-building workshops across Montana for project funded by the
U.S. Capital Compassion Fund. Provided follow-up technical
assistance to faith-based and community-based organizations on
developing fundraising plans, staff-board relations, grant-writing,
and strategic planning.
Center for Women and
Families, Bridgeport, CT. Conduct
an organizational assessment of non-profit organization with $2
million+ budget, which involved on-site and on-line interviews with
board and staff, evaluation of fundraising and budgeting, and
recommendations on improvements to staffing, organizational
structure, and development.
Provide on-going consultation to executive
director.
Court Appointed Special
Advocate/Guardian Ad Litem Program (CASA/GAL).
(several local chapters and state organization). Provide
training on building the capacity of the board of directors, assist
in identifying and refining long-range goals, develop a
comprehensive fund development plan, design and implement an
evaluation to measure public awareness and program effectiveness,
and create a communications plan.
Monida Healthcare Network,
Missoula, MT. Conduct program evaluation
for Rural Health Outreach Project to create specialist clinics in
rural hospitals in western Montana. Determine viability of rural
hospital specialist clinic and the economic impact of rural
hospitals on their communities.
Camp Dresser & McKee,
Denver, CO. Part of consultant team
coordinating an economic revitalization conference with community
leaders and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Libby,
Montana.
University of Iowa; University
of Vermont; Florida State University.
Provide technical assistance to the campus-community
coalition centered on reducing high-risk and underage drinking by
college students.
State of Oregon, EUDL Project,
Salem, OR. Assist communities throughout Oregon to
more effectively address underage drinking and to improve
community-law enforcement collaboration through training and
technical assistance
Lincoln County,
Montana.
- Community Health Financial
Assistance Resource Project. Provide state and federal advocacy, community
organizing assistance and research and grant writing services,
related to health care services for residents of the Libby,
Montana area affected by asbestos-related disease. Conceptualized
and wrote two successful grants that brought in over half a
million dollars to the community. Continue provide evaluation of
rural health outreach program.
- Public Health Emergency
Preparedness and Response Plan. Assist in the
development of the county's plan to respond to potential public
health emergencies, including completion of a needs assessment,
design of a training plan, creation of a risk communication
strategy and participation in county-wide disaster
drills.
Montana Human Resource Development
Councils. Wrote two successful federal grants: a $1 million grant to
create a statewide, coordinated program for homeless youths; and a
$500,000 grant to create a program to provide mentoring and support
services for Montana children with incarcerated parents.
Yellowstone Business
Partnership, Bozeman, MT. Develop fundraising plan
for environmentally-focused business non-profit organization. Create
data collection and donor tracking systems. Assist with other
start-up activities.
